My recommendation to visit budget friendly countries with cheapest flights from India.
Why planning an international trip is cheaper from India ?
There are many reasons to go beyond the border, but few main reasons are :
Cheaper Flights: In the last 2 years after covid pandemic many Indian and international budget airline companies like Indigo, Air Aisa, Vietjet etc extended direct flight operations from India to many cities in abroad. So sometimes you get international flight tickets at the same price as domestic flights in India or even cheaper. For example- Sometimes Bangalore to Malaysia costs cheaper than Delhi.
Hassle Free Visa: Many countries have done visa free for Indians like Thailand, Malaysia and many are e-visa or visa on arrival which is a big relief when we plan an international trip.
Budget friendly hotels and Transport: These 2 things are main when it comes to spending money on a trip. And hotel in many south east asian countries are cheaper and even same rate as India. Many good and cheaper hostels are available for backpackers.
Safe for Female and Solo Travellers: Because my listed countries are tourist friendly so these are safer for ladies and even solo travellers.
Best places to visit outside India in low budget
Here is my recommendation for 12 cheap countries to travel from India this year in 2025. So prefer to choose your destination depending on which part of India you’re living in, because flight rate varies from different locations. This could be your next cheapest international tour from India. Check some personal tips at the end of the post to book flight, hotel and which country you can chose according to my opinion.

Sri Lanka
This was my cheapest international tour from India. I did a 9 days backpacking trip for just 23000 INR including flight, visa, hotels and all expenses.

One of my favourite country in South East Asia which has modernity to culture and things to explore. A Heaven for coffee and cafe lovers.

This is a colonial heritage which has vibrant city life and Chinese culture. Many activities to do in this colourful city.

If you wanna see temple and Hindu culture vibes then Bali is the best city where you don’t feel much away from Home. Paradise for Island and beach lovers.

I lived in Dubai for around 2 years. Many activities and new things to see, such as shopping, adventure, middle east landscapes, culture etc. There are many other locations in UAE our of Dubai which can be explored like Ras Al Khaimah, Hatta, Abu Dhabi. Dubai is one of the safest city to travel.

Quick Tip for Flights: Flight rates are based on my research on Sky scanner for the cheapest month or date and from a particular location. It keeps changing. So better keep checking every 2-3 days for the cheapest flight from India to anywhere. You will find that some particular day flights are very cheap from a particular location. Like that I went to Bali for just 8500 INR from New Delhi.
Quick Tip for Hotels : If you're travelling solo then better book backpacker hostels and the price will be even cheaper and you will get the opportunity to make international friends. In off season hotel and flight rates are cheaper.

My personal recommendation for the first International Trip
You can start from Thailand because the visa is free and you can get Indian food easily, friendly people, safe for everyone. Bali is even cheaper than Thailand for hotels, transport and sightseeing. But the flight ticket costs a bit more. Sri Lanka or Vietnam can be another good options to start with.
