Thailand is very tech advance country and people relay on smart phones for lot of day to day activities. Be it transportation or food order, dining or dating, these apps can make your life easier and cost effective. So better to install these apps in your phone before you land in Thailand. You can register every apps with your country mobile number.
Top Apps in Thailand
Grab
Used for - Car or Bike Taxi, Food Order, Send Items.
Grab is like a multi purpose app mostly used in Thailand. People mostly use Grab for taxi booking, online food order or sending items within the city. Services are widely available in big and small cities as well. You can book all types of cars and if you're solo then bike taxi is a good option to save money and time.
You can also order food from Grab. All types of restaurants are listed and many of them even operate in the mid or late night. It can be a life saviour if you're missing your home country food and don't wanna go out.
Bolt
Used for - Car or Bike Taxi
Bolt is also used for booking taxi or bike taxi. Most of the time I found Bolt is a bit cheaper than Grab. So it's better to keep both apps and compare the price before you book. Regular taxi is little expensive so it's better to book taxi using any of these apps.
Hungry Hub
Used for - Dining
Hungry hub is used for making reservation for dining in Thailand. You can book table for a normal or luxury restaurants, rooftop bars, michelin star restaurants etc.
Usually good restaurants in Bangkok are occupied all the time, so it's better to book in advance before you go. You can also get good deals time to time in the app.
Line
Used for - Messaging and Call.
Line is the main communication app in Thailand for messaging or audio/video calls. This is just like WhatsApp for South East Asian countries. If you want to interact with locals for any reason then you must have this app, because mostly locals don't use WhatsApp in Thailand.
Google Map (Offline)
Used for - Navigation
Yes offline google map is good to have before you land in Thailand. You should download offline maps in Google map for the cities or whole Thailand. It can help you to know the route when you don't have data connection especially when you land and don't have data connection. This is a usual practice when I travel to any country because its possible to disconnect from network any time.
Google map can also help you to find information about bus, and metro services timing.
Klook
Used for - Activities and day tours.
Klook is very famous in South East Asia for booking day tours, local activities or transports. This app can help you to discover the local activities and attractions. You can also book dinner cruise, food tour and even ferry in Thailand.
Agoda
Used for - Activities and day tours.
Agoda is widely used in Thailand for booking hotel, hostels, resorts or any type of properties. You can also use booking.com but having Agoda gives you wider range of options.

Food Order - Food Panda, Eatigo.
