Mundeshwari Temple is approximately 200 km from Patna and is easily accessible by road, train, or air. If you prefer travelling by train, the nearest railway station is Bhabua Road, located 22 km from the temple. By road, you can take a bus or hire a cab to reach the destination. For those travelling by air, the nearest airport is in Varanasi, which is about 115 km away.

The ruins of Vikramshila University are located in Bhagalpur, Bihar, serving as a testament to its rich historical heritage. Founded in the early 8th century by Dharmapala of the Pala dynasty, this ancient university was one of the premier centres of learning in the world. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by Bakhtiyar Khilji, but its remnants still stand, symbolizing the grandeur of Bihar's historical legacy.


How to reach Vikramshila?


By Train: The nearest railway station where the maximum train can reach is Bhagalpur. From Bhagalpur, you can take the local train to Vikramshila. 

By Road: Vikramshila University is approximately 300 km from Patna you can hire a cab directly or the other option is to come to Bhagalpur By Train and then take a cab there.

By Air: Nearest Airport is Deoghar Airport (150 km).
